The Mentoring Edge: A Healthy Relationship + Pathway to Skills

We see mentoring relationships as both an end in itself, and a means to an end. A healthy and nurturing relationship can support a young person's social and emotional development, and provide them the safe space and confidence they need to navigate the world. At the same time, a mentor can support in the development of special skills that a young person may need help with at different critical periods of time in their lives. This could help in supporting the journey to various academic and career goals a young person may dream of.

Their words, not ours

Mentorship is a two-way street that fosters mutual growth and success, especially when you mentor individuals from underprivileged backgrounds. My mentee Kamla and I engaged in open, candid conversations about her career aspirations, strengths, and areas of improvement.
